This section features my nylon string ukuleles.
I had just started to play ukuleles many years ago at a time when I had to travel by train a lot. Sometimes I would spend entire days on the train and on one of these trips I had a life changing idea.
I decided to build a minimalistic ukulele, where I could plug in my headphones, but which would otherwise be silent. My fellow travellers could not be disturbed and I should not feel uneasy no mater what I was playing. No one would be able to hear it and it would be so small that it would easily fit into my backpack.
Having returned from that journey I went straight to work and built a prototype to figure out the perfect dimensions.
And that is how I got hooked on building ukuleles.
